Daily Devotionals by Ardith Keef

When the fiery darts come, they do not feel like something the enemy is flinging at
us.
They are always an offense to the flesh and they feel like they need to be fully
addressed immediately.
But, that is not always the case. In fact, more often than not, the enemy chooses
to pierce the flesh with things that are not of great importance or value. The flesh does
not value that which is eternal, so you can count on these attacks to usually be surface
attacks and many can and should be ignored.
We know the enemy roams about, seeking whom he may devour - I believe that is
different than the fiery darts. There are attacks again the Body of Christ, attacks in
the unseen that must be met with fasting and prayer, and constant attacks against
holiness.
Those must be met with frontal assault - prayer, followed by prayer. Then more
prayer.
But those little darts that result in behavioral flash-flashes? Step away and do not
give the dart attention. The dart is aimed at your insecurities and it will fizzle and will
never penetrate unless you receive it into the mind with a warm welcome.
Soldier, look up and move on!
