The experience of walking in victory is not an emotional one.
In fact, it is not an experience that allows the Christian to taste the current victory.
Instead, it is the result of a solid pursuit of God. It is the result of a faithful devotional
life.
It is the product of consistency.
Soldier of the Cross, your job is to be a Living Sacrifice. Nothing more, nothing
less. That means you leave what is behind and press on into Eternity.
When you obey the Call, the emotions are redeemed and healed. Then you can
experience a happiness that is beyond human reason. You can grieve with those
who grieve.
Then there is a Song in the heart.
Oh, Soldier, be healed.
Press into The Calling.
