     Many qualities mark the one who has determined to put aside his own 
interests to take up the Cross.
        A calm spirit is among those qualities.
        That Christian can suffer many things and he is not immune from heartache or
loneliness.  Yet, he has a stability that stems from his identity no longer being  about
himself.
        We live in a fallen world.  That means a measure of discomfort.
        But because we are citizens of heaven, we are protected from much.  That is,
we are protected when we obey.
       Soldier of the Cross, there is nothing as sweet and as freeing as the Cross of
Christ.
