Why does the Lord seem to wait before doing the thing that seems so important?

We don't know, and it is not for us to speculate. It is not even for us to wonder. We re to trust Him, and to take him at His Word.

He has assured us that He is never late and that He is responsive to us. It is reasonable to assume that the creator of Time knows when things must be done.

Soldier, your job is to Love Him. To get to know Him. To be about His business. You must learn to recognize Him, and you must also follow the pillar of smoke by day and the fire by night.

Most of the time, He is not going to let you know where until you need to know, and in this life, he will not tell you why.

That is why we can't walk by sight.

Take up the Cross. Be a disciple.
