Daily Devotionals by Ardith Keef

A missionary in the early part of this century used to say "God has
prepared places for prepared people."
How do we prepare? After all, you do not know what God will ask of you
tomorrow.
We prepare in the same manner Samuel was prepared. When God called and
he realized who was calling him, he immediately made himself available. This
is a process that does not happen in an instant. It is the result of a heart that
wants what the Lord wants, and is not only willing, but eager to pay the price.
The prepared heart has often stated availability in prayer.
The prepared heart overflows when it hears of another who has yielded
completely to Him.
The prepared heart is full of His Word.
The prepared heart has given up score-keeping and retaliation.
The prepared heart is ready to give up family and friends for any difficult
assignment asked of him.
The prepared heart does not consider the difficulty of what God has asked -
only that He has asked it.
Soldier of The Cross, we have a Lord who only does the impossible. Yet,
it seems that we only plan things that we can do ourselves.
Do this in prayer. Do it outloud. Tell Him He can have you fully, and that
He can do anything He wants to in your life.
You will find yourself excited about faith.
     You will find yourself free!
