Daily Devotionals by Ardith Keef

There is a time to sweep in with all confidence and there is a time to hold off, and wait until the dust settles.

The latter is the case when there is grief. Even one who is an exemplary Christian suffers loss. Although that person may fully understand and hold the confidence that his loved one is with the Lord, he must still deal with the void that is left.

Those who experience this loss need to hear from as many people as possible. But the worst thing to tell someone who is bereaved, is that he should not be suffering. That is simply not true.

Send him a Psalm. Write him a note. Take his hand and pray with him.

Tell him how the Lord cares for him, and of course, talk about the loved one if he or she is in Glory.

Weep with those who weep.
