There is no such thing as partial
committment, is there! And when it comes to serving and obeying
the Lord, the Bible is REAL clear. God's posture on the issue is that there is no in-between, and a man is either His or he isn't. That is why the things of God are found only through the kind of givenness and tenacity the Bible talks about. If no complete yieldedness were needed, the most shallow, half-hearted religious facades would bring about heavenly triumph. But, of course, that is not the case, and the treasures to be found in Christ come at great cost - that of giving up our lives - so that we can make room for His! |
