It is easier to do just
about anything but wait on God.
The old nature wants
to do, do, do. The old nature craves to see the thing resolved
by sight rather than by faith. The old nature has a repertoire
of solutions and demands a familiar resolution. The old nature
is afraid that God will be by possibly, and with too little,
too late.
There are few terms more
frequently used in the old testament books than "Wait for
and hope in the Lord". It is a struggle. It's a struggle
to rest and to assume God says what He means.
That is the difference between
knowledge and action. The latter is rooted in real belief.
