There was a discussion in
one of my law classes today about the meaning of truth as it
applies to the practice of law. Whew! I am certainly glad God is the One who has set the standard. He hasn't offered any subjective options, but rather He has offered Himself. What a marvelous thing it was when He said: "I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life. ." The statement is absolute. Although He never does things the same way twice, He is unshakeable and He Himself is the standard. I find great security in His firmness - the fact that I cannot cajole or manipulate Him to run the world according to my little pea brain His unchangeableness sets us free and allows for healing. He gave us His Word to live by, and His Word endures forever - not too squishy, is He! He said He would come, and He did. He said He would suffer and die for us and He did. He said He would send the Comforter and He did. He said if we called, He would answer, and He does - always. He said He would come again and He will. Read what has been written by the One Who is completely reliable! |
