Obviously, tenacity
means something to the Lord. He certainly is an enduring God,
and we are taught in several places that He wants to build endurance
in us.
Depth and revelation come with
time, sorrow, and the decision to continue in obedience. We are
told that the asking, seeking, and knocking must continue and
not stop. Why is that?
The pursuit of the thing sought
brings a momentum that in itself feels like an investment in
the result. That is the difference between those who really seek
God and those who seem to piddle around with the search without
any vigor to press through the membranes of resistance.
I will not give up. My life will
be spent in asking, seeking, and knocking. I am determined to
learn to be content with His timing in the answers, findings
and doors being opened.
