If you have decided to be a soldier in the army of the Lord, there will never be a time in this life when you will hit and remain on the plateau of having it all under control.
All of the control factors that the western church strives for today are directly in contradiction to God's Word.
It is not possible to submit to a walk by faith and have a constantly predictable income that always covers all bills ahead of time. If you are living that way, you are missing God's best financially, and you are depending on predictability rather than the provision of the Lord. You are also giving in proportion to what you think you have, not according to the heavenly riches which would be yours, if you were not clinging to the tiny surface of the iceberg.
There is a strange worship of family harmony today that is not scriptural. It is not scriptural because the Bible makes it clear that the believer must lay down his or her life so that God can do whatever. It is a false teaching that all things must be worked out and everyone must be nice to everyone else.
It is actually a heresy to teach that you must have the human concept of family harmony, and I know many women who almost explode with the joy of the Lord because they have submitted to Him in the most difficult situations. It is up to Him, and how I am treated in this life is not important.
Christianity today takes biblical terms and whole verses and attempts to portray a God who simply wants us to have all things worked out in this life.
I am here to tell you that Paul was beheaded. Isaiah was sawn in half. Peter was crucified upside down. John was twice boiled in oil and exiled to Patmos.

Day by day, and with each passing moment,
Strength I find to meet my trials here.
Trusting in my Father's wise bestowment,
I've no cause for worry or for fear.

He whose heart is kind beyond all measure
Gives unto each day what He deems best.
Lovingly, its part of pain and pleasure,
Mingling toil with peace and rest.
