Simply do not
listen. The Bible does say that believers must be available to "sweet reasonableness", and that we must "reason together." But when one is raging against another, do you understand? You may not listen and listen and listen! If you say "but he just needed to talk about his feelings. . . " you are already ignorant in the ways of God, and you are vulnerable to the whisperings of satan. Furthermore, if you listen over and over, soon you will find yourself angry at the one against whom you have been hearing - and I guarantee it will be over something ridiculous. To be en effective soldier in God's army, you must lap the water like a dog, just like the old testament story. The word of the day? Vigilance! |
