It doesn't matter
how fervently modern ecclesia try to explain away the Bible -
it still stands, and it is still true. The modern "church" may be wishy-washy, but God's Word certainly is not. It is explicit. In fact it is so explicit, that man has spent two thousand years desperately trying to explain it away, but it can't be done. What's more, the Lord is secure, and is not threatened. When we say the Word is "established" we mean that it has already taken place, that nothing can diminish its truth, and that it cannot be covered up, torn down, or actually damaged. Those who don't know Christ will spend hours arguing about biblical teachings. In fact, their arguments might be better than yours. That ought to be proof enough that arguing about the Bible is not productive. It just polarizes people, and presses the Holy Spirit away from the conversation. Yet, I still hear Christians say "If only I had thought of. . . ", so their particular point could have knocked the other person out of the debate. The Holy Spirit doesn't compete, He teaches. God's Word as used by the Spirit of God will cut through anything and everything, and it is supernatural. Most Christians are still trying to persuade the minds of others, but man is not won in that way. God's Word - you can't water it down to make it more acceptable, and you can't find a funnel that will press it into the mind. It is supernatural. Uncompromising Healing. Cleansing. It is Jesus, Himself. |
