The time it
is the most easy to forget Him is when you are badly treated. It takes a mature Christian who has been through some things to stand firm on the Word of God, when unfairness and insults are hurled his way. There will not be a time in this life when the flesh is allowed to settle down. It is the flesh! The sting of offense will never be eradicated until heaven, and the offender will not see things my way unless the Lord intervenes. Even then, the most important thing is not to be vindicated - the most important thing is to reveal Jesus. It is possible to have a shield of faith that will repel fiery darts, and the victory that the flesh so desperately wants can be extinguished before the dart penetrates. It just takes wanting Jesus more than wanting to be right! |
