He said "Fear
not." Why is it so hard? Because the flesh always wants to do something about the very thing that is out of its control. He did not tell us how He would take care of the thing, and He did not tell us the end result. He only said "Fear not." That has to mean that we must learn to live in such dependence on Him that fear has no place in us. Have you noticed that the Lord loves to develop His soldiers by leading them into the impossible, setting them in unfair treatment, and breaking them until they are whole? That is His way of creating His likeness in us. He brings us into the fire and the flood, and we find that we have come through with treasures that are only found there. The Healer is teaching the things that allow the prize "to him who overcometh". Some through the waters, some through the flood; Some through great sorrow, but all through the Blood; Some through great sorrow, but God gives a song, In the night season, and all the day long. |
