Just a few days before I was born again,
I called my father and asked him how he knew "it" was
true.. His answer was gripping to me because I already knew the
"right" answers, and needed a fresh response to an
honest question. He said "because of changed lives'. I have seen changed lives all over the world. Those still walking in blindness will say " but what about the organizations of the world that help people and make such obvious changes for people?" There are many good groups that provide retraining in areas of focused crippledness - alcoholism, wife-beating, child abuse, drugs, etc. They all give relief and surface healing for this life. But only the Blood of Jesus can provide healing to the entire soul and allow the human spirit to be filled with the Spirit of God. This is the reason that even after all the improvement, someone who has changed destructive habits will still have a hollowness on the inside. Certain vectors are altered, but there is still a gnawing need for transformation - vastly different from change. The Holy Spirit of God begins healing a man from the center of the center - from the spirit, then to the soul, and often to the body. For this reason, many have been tortured to death, because they are actually unable to deny Christ. The body would scream for relief, but it is the substance of the man that is inhabited by God, not the decaying part. Believing mothers, please teach your children daily that life does not consist of outward satisfaction and physical habits - physical habits must revolve around obedience to the One Who inhabits when invited and allowed room. He radiates. He transforms. He heals. He loves with a flow that originates in heaven, not from the person, but through the person. We must train our children to submit to the transforming power of God. How can we do that if it is such a remote truth in our own lives? |
