The bottom line in everything is
what does the Bible teach? When it comes to every day human behavior we all tend to make excuses for our own sinful reactions to things and it is common place to blame the other guy. What am I getting at? Frustration is a sin. Resentment is a sin. Bearing a grudge is a sin. Those are all things that will be foreign to heaven, and we will not experience them when we are in the beautiful raw presence of Jesus. We are soldiers of the Cross, right? We believe the Word of God, right? Then let's quit trying to boomerang the unpleasant emotion back to its source and obey what God has already told us. We must be givers of grace. This does not just apply to actions. It is internal. but it is supernatural, and cannot be done without the ministry of the Holy Spirit. It doesn't matter how much you know - a computer "knows" a great deal. The thing that matters is how much you lean. When things happen that would undo me, I must learn to choose in that moment to grab hold of the Truth in God's Word about the thing that has happened. Can you think of even one phrase in the bible that allows the believer to be frustrated over anything? No/ Of course not. Am I ever frustrated? Yes. But I realized many years ago that these things quenched the Holy Spirit, and they need to be labored over in prayer. We are too content with the way things have been. The Lord would like to do a thing in your life that you have never even heard of. They will be in line with all the teaching in the Bible. Are you willing? OK. Pray. Pray with vigor and without ceasing until God brings sight and until there is a vision of His loveliness that superceeds the thing that is a thorn in the flesh. Lets be willing to stretch. Let's be willing for conversion. Let's be willing! |
