- Life is not going
to get any easier.
- The good news
is that determining to embrace correction and determining to
yield to Him eagerly gives the Christian sight and stamina and
brings healing.
It is not the plan of God to bring
us to a plateau of knowledge and behavior where we can enjoy
a lofty view of eternity. Rather it is the heart of the Lover
of our soul to stretch us and chastise us and press us beyond
endurance so that we can see Him, know Him, and love His Body.
Get with the program.
Who do you know whose heart leaps
at the thought of the divine challenge?
- Probably no one,
and if you know one, you are rare indeed. If you are one
you are even more rare.
- There are
none gifted for this calling. It is the calling of each born-from-above
believer to submit to divine surgery, divine stretching, and
divine chastisement.
- The
Bible says we should embrace these things and actually seek them
out. When was the last time
you thanked the Lord for His faithfulness in chastising you?
It the answer is never, you must do it now. Only then will you
see the beauty of His personal love for you.
