until you think you have a clear indication from the Lord before
you serve the Body of Christ.
There is much work to be done,
and only a few are willing.
When someone has a need, John makes
it very clear that we are to attend to the need of the brother
if it is legitimate. As a matter of fact, I must attend to my
brother's need before my own.
What a tragic state of affairs
when the Church is a welfare organization. It must not be so.
A Spirit filled Church will give lavishly out of extreme poverty
as did the Macedonians in Phillipians.
The Christian Church today leans
toward taking care of bills and immediate needs and then giving
to missions or the needy brother. And so the blessing is stayed.
He said to seek the Kingdom first. Its
a challenge to the flesh, but well worth it!
