- The faith
walk always involves something you have not heard of before.
- In your
Christian life, God will not ask you to build an ark. You will
not be caught between the Egyptians and the Red Sea, nor will
He ask you to take your only son to a point of sacrifice and
expect you to tie him on an altar and kill him - or at least
start to kill him.
But the Lord will ask you to go
to the same lengths and depths of faith that He has always asked
of those who really want to follow Him.
Beware of the satiny sweet seduction
of predictability and control over environment. The Holy Spirit
is grieved in that setting, and the believer is paralyzed.
If God asked you to build
an ark, you would not have much problem with it because you would
assume that when you finished there would be a flood, and you
would think "I can do this."
But the thing God will ask of
you will seem like something you cannot do. But you will - by
faith. You will wait on Him, lean on Him and expect Him one moment
at a time.
Remember, it is He who
has called you, and it is He who will see you through.
