- You
are the only one who can live your life, and you can live yours
only and no one else's.
It seems simple enough, but
many Christians want guaranteed advice from counselors, and often
those same people tend to try to run the lives of those around
them.
- What does
the Bible say about these things?
People who do not pray much love
to quote the verse about a "multitude of counselors"
to prove that much advice is needed. That is not what that passage
means.
We are to listen to those
who have walked in the way of the Lord and have followed Him.
We are to listen to those who have experience in waiting for
Him. We are to seek the company of those who recognize and can
talk about Him.
And those wonderful and Godly
counselors will always tell the inquiring Christian to seek the
Lord, love the Lord, and serve the Lord.
- It
is rare to find a believer who will pray about a thing and actually
wait on God for the answer.
