It is easy to think
we know what is going on inside someone else. It usually isn't
true.
If we are giving it that much thought,
chances are the enemy is muttering in our ear or we are speculating
(what is the difference?)
The Word says "know no man
after the flesh." What does that mean? It means flesh can
not know flesh. The Holy spirit may reveal something for the
purpose of Grace or prayer, but most of the time we jump to conclusions
out of insecurity.
The next move is that we often
interact with the person based on our fleshly assessment and
some people actually attempt to pray for others under
these circumstances.
All this leads to the verses about
unconditional love - and about bearing each other's "troublesome
moral faults". It isn't easy, but the only hard thing about
it is our flesh, which wants desperately to be in control.
Lord, I submit to being taught
to think, speak, and act in your way, and in your time.
