- The
Lord is not hard to find, and He is the ultimate available communicator.
- It is significant
that when Moses saw the burning bush, the Bible says that God
spoke to Moses only after He saw that Moses had turned
aside to "investigate this thing".
- It is painful
to see how often God's children miss the delights of the One
who loved us enough to die for us, just because they are so set
in a schedule or a budget, or a personal agenda, that they would
not dream of breaking stride for anything.
- Although
our God is great and to be revered, He is also a tenderly responsive
and infinitely able-to-be-intimate Savior and Friend. If we are
so caught in the flurry of life that we have no time to step
aside and investigate as did Moses, we will miss all of the greatest
delights to be found.
Our greatest reliefs and joys will
not come when we are out of debt. They will not come when we
retire. They will not come when the family problem is resolved.
- They are to be
found in this life. The Bible says the treasure of heaven is
available right now - and it is to be found in Jesus. Step
aside and investigate this thing!
