Daily Devotionals by Ardith Keef

We must be sure to pray first.
There is such a tendency to pray about things that hold fear or are out of control, that we must take special measures to make sure we pray before
many of the activities we normally sail through.
There is a glory that bursts out of the life of a Christian who has learned to pray about everything. but the most valuable aspect of prayer in that person's life is that he knows that there is nothing that has gone right just because of his skill, a favor done by someone else, or a great line of circumstances. The man who prays about everything has seen God in each hour as the day has passed.
This is what Paul means in the whole passage where he talks about praying without ceasing. Teachers usually teach day after day out of education and habit, and rarely approach each new activity and meeting beforehand in prayer.
Musicians sit down to practice, honing their skills and hogging the glory. Cooks and housekeepers slog on, churning out tasks without realizing the great heavenly privilege that is being executed.
When we automatically proceed through our daily functions without preparing in prayer,  we spend the hours in blindness and are unaware of the reality that is only seen through faith.
Believer power is found through Holy Spirit prayer!
