- The faith walk means that there is nothing in
the way of your responding to the call of the Lord.
The Lord doesn't tease us, and He will use all that
He is allowed to. If you think your age or your marriage or your disfigurement
is keeping you back, you are wrong!
The Lord specialized in taking what is offered, and
making the thing He wants out of it - that is what the loaves and fishes
are all about. Our sovereign God has not called you to a service that
He won't allow.
-
- Over the years, I have heard numerous women say
that they knew that God was calling them, but they could not do the
thing they so wanted - usually the mission field, or building an orphanage,
etc.
-
- In each case, it was not the call of God at all,
but the woman, desperately wanting to do a particular thing that they
were clearly prevented from doing.
-
- The Lord can certainly do anything He wants to,
and I have strongly suspected a number of times that I would end up
doing the very thing that seemed so impossible.
-
- But God does not trap us, and then stand outside
the situation, calling us to do something else, just to see how much
we can bear. If you think you are in that situation, tell the Lord outloud
that according to His Word this plan is the best, and then go to work
- whatever (or whoever) the thing in the way is, serve the Lord to the
enth degree in the very thing that chaffs you.
-
- If you have a husband ridiculing your believing
walk, ask the Lord to break you up and pass you out right in your own
home, so that the angels will marvel.
-
- If the door is not open for you to go, it is HE
who doesn't want you to go.
-
- Sit down and figure out how many days you have
left if the Lord lets you live another ten years. Instead of living
them in resentment and "grass is greener" ness, serve Him
by ministering to and through the one you think is holding you back.
