The Bible makes
it clear that the believer is to be content. How many truly content Christians have you met lately? Contentment comes from a determination to let God have His way. A man who prays for the will of God, whatever it is, will recognize the Lord, and will submit to Him with relish, even though the pain may be almost unbearable. In the same way that those who really meet Christ will never say they regret having met Him, those who have sought to be disciples and yielded servants of the King of Kings will never, never say they were sorry they chose the Cross. Contentment is tasted only by the believer who takes up his Cross and follows Him. |
