We must be reminded
all the time: The Word of God!! We are told that we must have it in our mouths, we must tell it to our children, and we should have it imprinted on all the significant part of our homes - meaning that all places of activity, interaction and counsel should be immersed in and reflect God's Word. I think often about the verse that says He esteems His Word above His name. It is no small thing. Yet, in a busy and prosperous world, we press back the things that are the most important. I am going to say this to you again, and this time, receive it prayerfully: Memorize the Word of God. You do not need to remember it tomorrow. Yes, there are certain verses all should know, but the daily memorization is simply in obedience to know and recognize him as the hours go on. You will think of Him and you will dwell on his precepts when you memorize His Word. Tomorrow, get another verse, and say it to yourself 20 times, as you are getting dressed. Keep the Bible open in the room in which you dress. Stop complaining, and get with God's program! |
