When you belong
to the Lord, His love is so pervasive that you can not escape
it. He is not interested in helping you have a nice cushy life - He wants to prepare you for the most amazing glories and treasures, and because of that, He is going to bottom-line you on a regular basis. We think that we want the immediate discomfort to cease, but the reality is, we want the Lord to have his way, and to be free to apply the divine sandpaper.. Lord, I do want you more than anything. I want you more than worldly relief. Teach me to find my relief in you, and to once and for all, look up when the circumstances tie themselves in a knot. Please do whatever is needed to bring about this change in me - teach me to submit to the One who has no other goal but love! |
