Do you find
it easy to forget that the victory is the Lord's? The litmus test is whether or not you blame yourself when things do not go as planned. That, of course, means that if you are responsible for "defeat", you must also be responsible for "victory". One of the major reasons there is such an attrition rate on the mission field today is because we are results oriented, and feel that we have not done well when the crowds don't come, or the approval is not there, or even worse, the future looks bleak. We must learn to stand in the battle, let the Commander call the shots, and the results are His business. We know they will be to His glory. How do we know that? Because He said so! |
