The things that
bring us the most annoyance are the little things of life. God's Word teaches us how to live, and it gives instruction for godly consistency in reacting to almost everything imaginable. Isn't it odd that some of the smallest and most common things are those which bother us the most? Those are the opportunities for answered prayer. As long as I understand my goal is not to improve (my goal is to obey), I will be able to look for the Lord. We are told that He cares about every little thing. Well, it must be true! And if it is, He longs to se us released into the kind of life that we were intended to live - a life filled with and led by the Spirit. It is easy to compromise and let sarcasm and idle blah-blah coat our speech like placque on teeth, but it douses the fire. Are you bugged? Let the Lord deal with the other guy, and stand on the fact that we are dead to the world and alive unto Christ! |
