Consider the
value of a new day. Each day is separated from the day before and the day after it, so that the issues of that specific day can be dealt with in a different way that they might be if the days were not divided from each other. Each morning signifies newness, and certain things are brought out to us as being newly important each day. One of them is a fresh and resolved approach to the Lord, and a keen ear to hear His voice. Another is the duty we have to separate what needs to be attended to today from the tomorrow's things that we can't touch today, but might fantasize about, thus loosing time and energy for today. One of the most important things taught in the Bible is the need to look for the Lord each day. We do this in two ways - we watch to see where He is in our activities and when we are surprised with anything, and we daily await His coming in the clouds to take us home! God wants our living process to be honest, free, and to reflect that we are truly living in the "day that He has made. . ." Each day we arise and address the beginning of the day. We practice habits that are established , and in those habits, we declare to the powers of light and darkness that we either do or don't intend to live according to the Word of God. The next morning you live through should be spent with determination, not thoughtlessly endured. Mornings are times for new beginnings. Isn't it a wonder that the One who designed each new day and came up with the idea in the first place, loves you deeply, and if allowed, will lead you with His eyes all day long! |
