God has never
led a man by taking him from human glory to human glory.
Rather He has more often than not
required that the soldier follow Him through places where others
have shaken their heads and clucked their tongues.
The Lord doesn't relish seeing
his children writhing in the dust, but He does delight in seeing
his children learning to walk on the water. And walking on the
water does not come naturally except to ducks, and any "sane"
person will not try it.
The flesh will never shake its
sever addiction to security, and the Lord will never reveal Himself
where the priority is security.
Faith must be the priority, and
in order to be healed from the constant need for human approval,
a soldier of the Cross must be eager to follow the Lord in directions
opposite from that approval.
God's approval is hearty - remember:
"This is My Son, in whom I am well-pleased".
We have never been entertainment
for the Lord, but we are the objects of His love and delight.
Our obedience thrills Him, and when we are willing to step out
and enlist t in the Heaven's Glory Unit, the unity and fellowship
with the other soldiers causes all other accolades to fade and
pale.
Human office and award count for
little, but the awards and prizes of heaven will be presented
before all the heavenly hosts, and will be for all eternity.
