I want desperately
to be like the One who gave His life as a ransom for many.
All the strain and determination
in the world will not do it.
I can have a stunning and accurate
vision of His loveliness, but that vision alone will not suffice.
I have the Bible, and I can memorize
it from cover to cover, but it will not help me change myself.
I can surround myself with heroes
of the faith and I can learn to imitate them, yet I will be in
the same place.
How can I become like Him?
