When
praying, it is important to remember that He will do far more
than we ask.
Because He is a Father who is
always teaching the adopted sons, He will often give exactly
what we pray for. We must consider that although we have the
indwelling Holy Spirit to aid in prayer, we are also being trained.
His creativity is infinitely more
than we can imagine, and we come only with a worm's eye view
of what can happen, and certainly even less of an idea as to
how.
So, a beautiful posture in prayer
is to consider that I have the privilege of approaching the one
who listens to requests in the way the petitioner intends.
If I have the arrogance to outline
the plan to Him, He may give me my limited little plan. But if
I humbly come, understanding my request can't compare to the
solution, He will unfold the Plan as I watch in wonder!
