There are
many things that come into the path of the Soldier of the Cross.
And it takes dwelling in the word
of God and regular prayer to distinguish the important from the
unimportant.
The Bible says in no uncertain
terms that the way I am treated is never the issue. But
try telling that to a woman whose husband is harsh or jealous.
She has no hope of victory in the situation unless she has taken
as beautiful, the Cross in her marriage.
If she has sought the Cross in
prayer and made decisions that reach far beyond a single relationship,
she will have vision, and she will not give weight to the demeaning
statements and rantings that a less mature woman would.
What a protection there is in being hidden
in the Cleft of the Rock! He doesn't cast light,
He is Light.
When His way is more important
than my physical years drawing domestic approval, I can see,
I can sing, I can minister, and I can walk on the water.
The issue is the Cross - the
place where the flesh must die.
