I have always
believed the laying on of hands to be that transfer that happens
when one Christian takes on another, and does whatever the Lord
gives in order to bring the receiver to the place of capacity
to receive.
It takes time.
You will not find a place in the
epistles where Paul says "we disembarked and in the next
minutes, we held a laying-on-of hands ceremony. . ."
That's because Paul invested himself,
and the ceremonial laying on of hands was simply a physical marking
of the thing that had already taken place in the heavenlies.
Live is not bestowed without
contact, and Redemption did not happen from a distance.
He came.
He touched.
And He still comes and touches
today - through your life and mine.
