There are many
books today on "finding the will of God". The Bible is simple and clear, and a believer must simply follow the fire and the cloud! God does not hide Himself, nor does He make it a gauntlet exercise to find Him. What happens is, the Christian is so consumed with "finding God's will" that his vision is obscured by the dust cloud of self-absorption. What many really mean is "how can I secure God's approval on the course of my life?" or "how can I find a course with guaranteed success and minimal trial?". His will is the Cross - there is no other way to know Him! |
