As a Christian,
be careful of planning too carefully.
We can't operate as the world does.
Proverbs says " plans and reason are human, but the wise
wait to hear from the Lord."
It is certainly human to try to
plan two steps ahead instead of one - we try so desperately to
sound out the future like a ship sounds the bottom of the ocean.
We would love to spray a net out over future events and capture
them. Then we could pound them into the shape we think they should
have.
Sound familiar? It is the way of the
flesh.
God has a plan and time runs by
that plan. And so we also must plan. The secret is, we plan as
we are led of God. If the Holy Spirit is allowed to lead the
way, our plans will often appear to others to have gaps, lead
to certain failure and desperately need professional consultants.
But the results will explode with
Glory, and the only ones who will recognize the Glory - fire
and the cloud, are those who also were led!
