It is
not necessary to convince God to take sides. When we pray, there is a temptation to convince the Lord of the superiority of our [position, the guaranteed result, and his responsibility in it all. Some of this is not so bad. It's always beautiful to remember in prayer what the Bible says about the situation. I have done this often, and it keeps me on the right track while praying. But remember: prayer ought not to try to convince God to take sides, but to yield so that He can take over! |
