Remember,
light dispels darkness .
We live and walk in obedience,
trusting the Lord to take care of things obviously beyond human
control.
But we also must learn to let Him
take the things that could easily seem to be controllable. This
covers our tendency to point out the faults of others, our desperate
flailings to guarantee control over finances and the tales we
tell to each other in an attempt to influence relationships.
Many things around us are either
quashed or gloriously released by the measure of light in our
lives.
When the One who is Light
has freedom in a life of a Soldier of the Cross, that Soldier
will be consumed with Him, and will be paying more attention
to Him than to the problem at hand.
People are never a small issue
and there must be much affirmative attention given in many cases
- but there is a spiritual principle that is demonstrated when
a candle is lit in a dark room - no longer can the darkness control,
and it can't stand up to and is not equal to the Light.
