Where do you live? Is it a lovely home with a wonderful vista? Are you in a humble little apartment? What difference does it make? What is important to you? Does it matter that you have a humanly successful environment? Think of Paul. What a wonderful example. He was educated and considered at the top - only he was wrong. He was Saul, persecuting Christians, Then he met the One who riveted him to attention by His glory and irresistible Love. After that, Paul says he went through indescribable situations, all of which he counted as nothing compared to the privilege of knowing Him. And being intimate with Him. Listen: your living situation counts as nothing. Yes, the Lord knows, and of course He cares. But He has something more in mind than you do - He is preparing you for eternity. He longs for every thought you cast His way and He lingers for your attention. The one who is an irritant, or the situation that causes you discomfort cannot be compared to the glory to be tasted on the heavenly frontier. And, Soldier, don't you forget it! |
