So many believers
are desperately trying to live natural lives, just like the world. But we belong to another kingdom now - another world - and we who are filled with Him must learn to live supernatural lives. That means we must look for and expect the Lord all the time. It gets to be more than a habit - it gets to be the thing that is normal. Not natural, but normal. There are sweet evidences that signal the Christian's determination to live in The Flow: stability, a mouth that is fill of God;s Word, quick forgiveness, loud singing, a refusal to discuss negative qualities of others, and a heart that genuinely cares for those he has never met. Those lives are sustained by prayer. Those believers do not consider things without prayer. They confess sin frequently and are not destroyed by their own investigations of themselves, because they are far too interested in Jesus to be occupied with their own shortcomings. Out of the belly flows rivers of living water. There is rest. It is supernatural. |
