What do I see
when I look at Jesus? First, I must look at Him. Then, I see One who has the most exquisite personality and One whose principals and integrity are beyond words. I see One who is Love, and who wants me to be transformed to be like Him. I see One who did not consider Himself, but was about the Father's business. I see One who did not take disgrace into account. I see One who went after me, even though I was rejecting him with all my conscious ability. I see One who wins my heart is such a way that I want to do anything to have more of Him - more of His ways. More of his thinking. More of His likeness. Lord Jesus, I know I have said this many times before, but please, please do what ever must be done in me to bring about your likeness. Lord, I know there is sin, weakness, a tendency to pull back, but Oh my God, I know for sure there is nothing and no one else. Nothing thrills me but you. Nothing. Please, Lord, go into the deepest places and bring about things, although painful, that will cut away unusefulness, and make me like you. |
