I am not supposed
to feel strong. I am not supposed to feel victorious. I am not supposed to always experience positive emotions. But, I am supposed to experience obedience. and, it is always a choice. We may make excuses for what we do, but we can never say we didn't know what the Bible said! Even in the most serious situations God's Word is clear concerning the next immediate step - or the refraining from a next step. He has never left us without the Alongside One. My flesh always wants to taste the good human feelings, but I am being prepared for heaven. Therefore, I will choose the better thing - to obey, and to submit to the surgical knife of the Lover of My soul! |
