Daily Devotionals by Ardith Keef

There is much, much more going on in the unseen, and we will not know about most of it until we get to heaven!
Because we are so public here at the Isacc House, we often get calls from other ministries and from hundreds of people and businesses who want to sell us something.
Rarely is there anything on the caller's agenda except the sale or other form of solicitation.
Often those callers are offended when the sale is not consummated and the hyperspirituality comes to the surface. Yesterday I had a young man ask if he could pray for me on the phone because I did not want to buy his product for the youth of our church.
     I said no.
     Soldier, beware.
     It seems so harmless

One of the most dangerous elements in time is prayer that is offered amiss. It is often offered in sincerity and hastily by the well-meaning and immature.
Make no mistake: I often rush to pray with those who are distressed or those who ought to be and don't know it.
But I never give in to someone else just because it is awkward. When there is a clarity that something is out of joint, we who serve the One Who hung the stars, may not agree with deception. And those who rush in where angels fear to tread are either deceived or foolish.
In any event, the Soldier of the Cross, though humble, must remain vigilant and must refuse to bend to whims of spirituality that are not of the Lord.
We must feel, but we may not be ruled by sentimentality. We must be tender, but we may not be squishy.
We may not fully know what is happening, but we may not be passive.
We are about our Father's business, and while there is sacrifice and yieldedness, there are no compromises with darkness.
