| |      What was
your purpose in living today? This is not a philosophical question
    - it is a biblical one.
Unlike the rest of the world, we have
a purpose. We serve a living Lord who is building a living place
for us so that we may live where he is forever. that is no small
    thing.
 He has not stated preferences,
but rather He has given commandments.
Here is a beautiful exercise -
do it as soon as you read this devotional:
Stand in front of the mirror and
state outloud as many commandments as you can remember. Not just
the ten, but others such as ". . . love one another, even
    as I have loved you. . ."
 Stunning.
Taking only that one, if I present
myself to the Lord in prayer to obey, it means a reason to live
tomorrow. It means an agenda. It means I see everything that
happens through the thing I have taken up.
 I think about Him all
    the time.
His Love gives purpose to each
    moment.
His Grace gives substance to each
    relationship.
His Cross gives power to make each
    decision.
 His personality gives purpose to
    prayer.
Oh, Soldier! Look up and live!
