The Bible teaches
us that Faith is the victory. The earthly outcome is not the victory. We know that obedience flows from faith, and it is faith that is the victory. If faith were not the victory, the result of obedience would have to be the victory, and of course although ultimately it will be, those results will only be fully seen and appreciated in heaven. So, here, obedience by faith is the victory because we know by faith that the Lord will do the thing that will result in Glory, and that is likely to be the opposite of what we expect or want humanly. Soldier, consider the simple freedom of being able to say ". . .for me to live is Christ. . ." |
