Our goal is Jesus.
Nothing and no one is worth anything
in life, except Jesus.
Is someone harassing you? Consider
the One Who gave himself for you. What a contrast!
Is there an earthly goal that seems
attractive? It can not compare with intimacy with the One Who
hung and named the stars.
Is there a longing that culminates
in this life? Consider the stunning thought of eternal fellowship
with Him Who bought you with His own Blood.
Soldier, you have the finger of
God pointed in you face, and although the demonic spirit of independence
presses, you have no choice but to choose Jesus.
Beside Him, all else pales.
