Some believers
tend to spiritualize everything. It is a serious problem! There are those that see demons under every rock, angels in each ray of sunshine, and an answer for each believer's situation. Reality declares: yes, there are demons, but they are not responsible for the flesh. Yes, angels protect believers, but they do not rush to substitute for the Soldier's obedience. It is a terrible, terrible thing when a Christian commits the sin of assumption. That happens when there is a missing piece in the equation, and the believer guesses as to what that piece is. We must allow the Holy Spirit to move in the creative element of Time. The Lord does not show us the thing that we crave to see immediately, but rather, He takes us through the process of waiting so that He can show us the far more valuable thing than that which we would have pounced on first. We know so little! The beautiful Truth is, we know the One Who knows all, and Who created the formula. Oh Soldier of the Cross, please, please: stop putting two and two together, because Heaven's system of addition is not even remotely related to ours! |
