The Lord does
not seek out those who have human credentials and feel equipped
- they are much too laden down to receive a divine commission. Rather, He has an open call and a personal call to those who love obedience. More than anything else, the Lord loves obedience and He wants His servants to love the same thing. To the Soldier of the Cross who will go uncomplainingly when He commands, the One Who hung the stars in place will open the way one hour at a time. Those who have all the pre-journey provisions got them so that they would not need to live one hour at a time. They got them so they could make decisions for themselves and not have to obey. After all, what if the Lord erred? No Soldier will win an award in heaven for having been a master - heaven's rewards will go to servants only! |
